Role: Night Shift Maintenance Engineer
Location: Hull
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (NIGHTS ONLY)
A leading manufacturing company based in Hull is seeking a dedicated Night Shift Maintenance Engineer to join their dynamic team. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will play a critical role in maintaining and improving the performance of the site during the night shift.
Key Responsibilities of a Night Shift Maintenance Engineer:
1. Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to breakdowns efficiently to minimize downtime.
2. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults on a range of manufacturing equipment.
3. Ensure all equipment operates safely, reliably, and in compliance with company standards.
4. Work proactively to identify and implement improvements to increase reliability and performance.
5. Collaborate with the night team to ensure a seamless production operation.
A Successful Night Shift Maintenance Engineer will be:
1. Qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
2. Proven experience in maintenance engineering within a manufacturing environment.
3. Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills across mechanical and electrical systems.
4. Knowledge of PLCs, pneumatics, and hydraulics is advantageous.
5. Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently during night shifts.
