Dispensing Veterinary Surgeon - Compliance Lead will hold responsibility to oversee and ensure that Animed Direct division is strictly compliant with up-to-date requirements and guidelines of related governing bodies. That the operating procedures of the business comply with the retail distribution license for veterinary medicinal products.
The role will be continuously aiming to stay ahead of and mitigate any risks that may occur with the Animed Online dispensary.
The role will require documentation of Animed Direct and CVS policies and procedures. These documents will need to be stored on our internal documentation systems, Q-Pulse and Doctract.
Within the role you will also work as part of the Vet team, ensuring prescription validity, clinical accuracy, and compliance with VMD regulations. You will be liaising with veterinary practices and prescribing veterinary surgeons to clarify any prescription anomalies or queries. You will be working closely with the prescription administration team to ensure that all prescriptions are processed in a timely manner.
This position is based at our Head Office in Diss, where we are offering hybrid working.
Key responsibilities include:
* Hands-on involvement in approval and dispensing of prescription medicinal products, including issue resolution.
* Responsible for ensuring Animed Direct and the CVS dispensary are compliant with all VMD regulations.
* To be the main point of contact for the VMD when communication is sent/visits are scheduled to Animed Direct.
* Responsible to oversee effective communication with customers, prescribing vets, and Customer Operations departments. These will include finding resolutions to queries related to ordering prescription medication.
* To build relationships within the CVS Group to assist in mitigation of any risks to the business from a compliance and regulatory aspect.
* Monitor, audit, and record processes to ensure we are, and can demonstrate, compliance in line with VMD Regulations.
* Formulate a strong relationship with the Dispensary department.
* Hold collective responsibility for the dispensing of POM-V & POM-VPS medications
Skills and experience required:
* A UK Practising MRCVS on the RVS register.
* Experience in dispensing prescription medication.
* Customer-centric view on handling customer queries.
* Good understanding of modern retail operations.
* Excellent knowledge of the range of VMD-licensed medicinal products.
* Strong leadership, interpersonal skills
* Be equally comfortable operating at a strategic level or to get into the weeds and execute at a tactical level to help and inspire your reports.
* A pro-active self-starter with a 'can-do' attitude and collaborative nature.
