About the role
Reporting to the Head of Technology the Technical consultant is responsible for driving through change for their aligned customers through IT Strategy, roadmaps and projects. Scoping, design and delivering for customers aligned to them .
Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
1. Work collaboratively with the Sales team to design high level infrastructure solutions
2. Work with Lead Technical architect to align customers with Wavex technology stack
3. Engage with senior executives from our clients to define business challenges and establish technical roadmaps and solutions, developing peer-to-peer rapport and relationships
4. Deliver the technical aspects of the sales presentations
5. High-level design solutions (including pricing within the Wavex pricing framework)
6. Facilitate workshops to establish client business requirements
7. Write technical Statements of Work (SoWs – creating and maintaining templates as necessary), proposals and RFP responses
8. Collaborate within the team to knowledge share and provide guidance technical guidance where necessary
Project delivery
9. Own the technical delivery and implementation of multiple projects simultaneously
10. Perform low level design. Work with the Project Managers (project planning) to deliver projects on time and within defined budget before handing over to support
11. Liaise with clients to discuss project solutions
12. Complete technical audits. Write audit reports, network manuals, diagrams, etc.
13. Liaise with third parties
14. Be prepared to work out-of-hours on the delivery of critical projects
15. Aide in the formulation of standardised project plans and best practice guides to ensure quality of all projects
16. Be aware of project cost and planned delivery timeframes throughout the delivery of the project. Ensure time recording and task management is updated and adhered to on a daily basis
17. Work with the Procurement team to advise on technical equipment requirements and pricing strategies
18. Be an ambassador of Wavex. Promote and maintain the Company’s reputation at the highest level
Professional Experience
Must have (technical)
19. Track record (hands-on) of delivering and designing cloud infrastructure projects, Microsoft 365, particularly around the security aspects
20. Strong technical experience Microsoft EUC product ranges. Ideally working knowledge of Intune/Endpoint Manager (MDM, Windows autopilot)
21. Hands-on experience of Windows Server, Active Directory and modern desktop management
22. Experience in Microsoft collaboration and enhanced communication
Must have (commercial)
23. Pre-sales experienceWriting SoWs/estimating professional servicesDelivering compelling presentations at executive level (being able to translate technology into business terms)
24. Experience of solution costing, including technology products and licensing approaches
25. Working knowledge of the various M365 License tiers and associated features
