We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Site Manager to join our team at Ormiston Sir Stanley Matthews Academy. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for the management and maintenance of the academy premises and grounds, ensuring a safe and well-functioning environment for our pupils and staff.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage the day to day estate wide maintenance of the site including where applicable grounds maintenance.
2. Plan and carry out repairs and maintenance of the academy site including improvements and alterations to the building fabric, fixtures and fittings.
3. Have key holder responsibilities including opening or closing the site and alarm call out response.
4. Open the academy site for use by the school community, ensuring that any damage, health & Safety issues or faults with the buildings M & E is reported.
5. Carry out duties in adverse weather to ensure the site is safe for occupancy.
6. Responsible for the line management of all site personnel.
7. Direct staff as appropriate to ensure all academy grounds and facilities are free from litter, vandalism and graffiti.
8. Ensure site compliance checks are undertaken at appropriate intervals, including weekly fire alarm tests, fire extinguisher and fire door checks.
Key Requirements
1. Experience as a caretaker, site supervisor or similar role.
2. Good working knowledge of management and maintenance of buildings, mechanical, electrical and other infrastructure systems.
3. Experience managing contractors and working with outsourced providers.
4. Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Commitment to providing a safe and well-maintained environment for our pupils and staff.
