Nursery Practitioner Job Description Job Title: Nursery Practitioner Location: North West England, Lancashire, Skelmersdale Salary: £12.90 - £14.50 Per hour Job Duties: As a Nursery Practitioner, your main responsibilities will include: Planning and implementing activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of the children in the nursery Providing a safe and secure environment for the children Observing, assessing, and recording each child's progress Working in partnership with parents and carers Supporting the development of children's basic skills, including physical coordination, speech, and communication Required Qualifications: Applicants for this role must have: Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Education and Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a nursery setting Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of child development and age-appropriate activities Ability to work as part of a team Strong organisational skills First aid training is desirable Preferred Qualifications: Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Paediatric First Aid Experience working with children with special educational needs Working Conditions: This role involves working with children aged 0-5 years in a nursery setting. The position is temporary and requires full-time hours. The work environment may be noisy and require physical activity.
