Project Manager | Clean-Tech Start-Up | Permanent, Hybrid | £55k - £75k (negotiable) Our client Our client is a well-backed, London-based Clean-Tech Start-Up, developing innovative solutions for green hydrogen production. The opportunity and role The company is looking for a well-rounded and experienced Project Manager to support their multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists, in the development and commercialisation of the company's novel technology. You will: ● Identify, define, plan and manage the delivery of projects that enable key business priorities to be achieved. ● Develop and monitor project schedules, manage scope, and control project costs. ● Oversee and manage tender processes and subsequently take responsibility for delivery by third parties including, suppliers, technology partners and consultants. ● Manage stakeholder relationships, including customers, off-takers, regulators, etc. ensuring that an effective and consistent cadence of reporting takes place. ● Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation including scope of work, project plans, and evidence of having achieved deliverables (internal and customer). ● Establish priority tasks and timelines to enable project team members including technical leads, planning leads, financial leads, and associates to support delivery of the overall plan. ● Support the team and wider business with specific tasks on projects and issues as required, including business development, document preparation and review, and evaluation of the quality and effectiveness of delivered outcomes. ● Drive good practice across all projects, encouraging internal teams and suppliers to adopt and maintain these standards ● Maintain industry knowledge on relevant wider issues, including consultation responses and industry representation as required. Requirements: The ideal candidate will have come from either a clean-tech or start-up background, and will have had involvement with funding/ grants. You will have: ● 7 years in a project management role, with a proven ability to define, agree and deliver multiple projects simultaneously. ● Strong analytical and problem solving skills; must be capable of devising new approaches to problems encountered, then acting on this approach to build new ways of working. ● Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with stakeholders across all levels. Can provide evidence of familiarity in writing and presenting scope documents, PID’s, and status reports summarising progress and obstacles to a wide range of audiences. ● Excellent organisation and time management skills. ● Experience or qualifications in project management methodology such as PRINCE 2 or APM. ● Experience in delivering complex technical product development and deployment, and managing internal teams and suppliers to recover delays and overcome challenges to achieving agreed outcomes. Be truly open to just diving in and doing what’s needed to get the work done, whilst maintaining the ability to identify what needs to change in future. ● Experience in risk management and conflict resolution is also desirable. Desirable ● Knowledge of the hydrogen industry, electrolysers and/or fuel cell technologies is an advantage. ● Knowledge of Health and Safety for projects. ● Experience in project managing in the chemical / energy sector
