Exciting new 4 day a week role working to support the elderly and disabled Monday to Thursdays Volunteer Manager Knowledge of the Jewish Faith is desirable The Volunteer Manager will be working across multiple sites, overseeing recruitment, training and assisting resource managers, and other teams with the day to day management of volunteers. Skills required for the Volunteer Manager role Previous exceptional customer service skills Warm dignified communicator Compassionate nature Minimum 2 years experience working with the elderly, people with dementia and disabled people Some experience working with and training volunteers within a charity organisation Excellent admin skills High level of IT literacy Able to work independently and use initiative Good knowledge of the Jewish Customs Responsibilities In collaboration with the Volunteering Department, identify required needs, opportunities & roles for volunteers. Identify and create written role outlines to ensure that all volunteers are correctly matched with suitable opportunities. Recruit volunteers through current and new networks, organise recruitment events locally, to promote opportunities at the Organisation Oversee onboarding and enrolment of volunteers In collaboration with the Volunteering Department, implement and manage a training schedule for all volunteers Day-to-day operational support of volunteer management & engagement. Maintain accurate volunteer records ensuring the volunteer database provide relevant KPIs to ensure effectiveness and best practice. In collaboration with other services support and lead special projects Plan, organise and implement Thank You events and recognition during the annual Organisations Volunteering Week, and oversee and lead on the nomination process for the annual Volunteer Awards event.
