Social Media Officer
In the role you will support the delivery of multi-channel social media plans with specific focus on promoting the Lloyds Tour of Britain races and meeting British Cycling Events objectives. This role will drive social media community management and launch new Tour of Britain channels.
About You
* You will thrive as part of a passionate team of in-house and external social media gurus, building positive relationships with colleagues, and external stakeholders and agencies to deliver brilliant work.
* This might be your first step into professional life, but what you lack in experience you more than make up for with a proactive and can-do attitude.
* You have proven skills in content creation. You know your reels from your carousels and how to craft engaging content that cycling fans will love.
* You can copywrite captions and build photoshop visuals to create content that not only communicates effectively, but looks excellent too.
* While knowledge for cycling is preferable and passion for the sport even more desirable, what makes you stand out is your drive to find the ‘gold dust’ content opportunities and curate them into thumb-stopping pieces cycling fans want to share.
What will you be doing?
* Support the Creative Social Manager on content planning, production and distribution across British Cycling’s social media channels, with particular focus on meeting Tour of Britain content objectives.
* Support the development and implementation of social media plans.
* Create content that engages and builds audiences, increasing awareness and driving interest in the Tour of Britain races.
* Actively manage and build social media communities, monitoring and responding to comments.
* Assist with the launch of new social media channels for the Tour of Britain.
* Using social media analysis tools to help report on content performance against strategic objectives and make data-backed decisions on future content output.
