Job Title: Senior Power Systems Engineer or Power Systems Engineer
Location: Birmingham city centre
Salary: £45,000 - £65,000 (depending on experience and grade level)
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Power Systems Engineer or Power Systems Engineer based in the centre of Birmingham on a permanent basis.

* If full-time, work 3 days per week in a beautifully designed flexible workplace in central Birmingham (5-10 minutes walk from New Street, Snow Hill and Moor Street stations) and from home 2 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:
* Positively contribute as a team member, including mentoring and developing junior colleagues
* Problem solve and apply the right solutions, while determining when innovation is best applied
* Lead the design delivery for specific packages of work
* Client-facing and regular collaboration with everyone else involved in successfully delivering each project
* Prepare detailed technical reports, specifications, drawings, schematics, and other design documents across different stages of project life-cycles
* Model complex networks and perform steady state studies (load-flow, short-circuit, protection coordination, arc flash), dynamic/transient simulation, and harmonic analysis to validate and verify developed design
* What you need:
* Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartership, with a relevant academic qualification and career experience
* Experienced delivering FEED/detailed design to UK DNO/TO standards at 33kV or above substation primary design or substation secondary design or high voltage (HV) plant design
