Site Engineer - Groundworks + Substructure Contractor
Carrowhugh Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Site Engineer to work on a housing project in Ramsey, Cambridgeshire. This project is due to run until December 2025. The Sub-Structure specialist company has been established for over 40 years and takes on projects ranging in value from GBP 250,000 to GBP 25 million.
The successful candidate will have 3+ years of experience dealing with similar Groundwork & RC Frame contractor type works and be extremely confident in their ability to set out.
There is also a promise of more work for the right candidates as the company has a lot more upcoming projects.
Responsibilities
The Site Engineer - Groundworks + Substructure Contractor will assist with the management of:
* Request for Information (RFI)
* Supply of Information
* Rebar + Precast
Other key responsibilities include:
* Setting out groundworks & structural use of GPS, total station & automatic levels
* Coordinating site drawings
* Daily liaison with the project team, design team, and subcontractors
* Monitoring and recording of materials, plant, and logistics
* Implementing QA procedures, concrete pre/post pour checks, RFIs, and resolving technical issues
* Record keeping and reporting
* Assisting in maintaining and monitoring safe working practices on site.
Specific Requirements
* Relevant third-level degree
* 3+ years of experience in a similar role
* Previous sub-contractor experience
* Previous project experience on Construction/Civil Engineering projects (Residential, RC Frame, Retail/Commercial, Pharma, Datacentre, Hi-Tech)
* Proficient in the use of GPS, robotic total station, and levelling equipment is essential
* Excellent IT skills, knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office
