From crafting compelling press releases to managing high-profile hotel openings, you’ll be shaping our brand story and keeping us front of mind with key stakeholders.
What’s it all about?
In this role, you’ll work closely with the Property PR Manager and the dynamic Communications team to help deliver the Property and Development Communications Strategy across the UK and Spain. You will support key PR activities, ensuring the successful execution of the strategy and providing communications support to the Property and Development function.
You will also play a key role in Travelodge annual PR programme for new hotel openings, creating tailored PR campaigns for each hotel, planning events, and identifying PR opportunities across national, trade, and regional media. You will work alongside the Consumer PR team to support larger hotel openings and customer-facing activations.
Other key responsibilities include assisting with the daily operations of the Travelodge Press Office, drafting and distributing press releases and Q&A documents, and supporting the wider PR team with corporate and consumer PR campaigns. You will also manage content creation for newsletters, LinkedIn, and the corporate website, coordinate speaking opportunities, and support corporate events like hotel openings and networking events. Administrative tasks such as invoicing and helping with reporting and social listening will also be part of your role.

Who will this appeal to?
This role will appeal to a recent graduate or Junior Executive with a passion for PR and communications, and ideally, some experience in an agency or in-house role. Those with a background in property or event management will have an advantage. It’s a great fit for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys taking on multiple tasks, and can stay calm under pressure. The ideal candidate will have strong written and communication skills, be highly organised, and be comfortable working to tight deadlines. If you’re creative, adaptable, and excited to get hands-on with content creation and event management, this role could be perfect for you. Experience with Canva, InDesign, and social media content creation is a plus.
What are the extra bits?
1. Full Time- 37.5 hours a week
2. Up to £25,500 Depending on Experience
3. Thame based office.
4. Hybrid working- 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home. But you will need to be flexible to travel to London and across the UK to support the new hotel openings programme.
