Job Description: We are seeking a talented and motivated Computational Scientist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing next-generation computational algorithms, taking them all the way from concept to implementation and being used by our clients worldwide. The ideal candidate will have a Master's or PhD-level qualification in Physical Sciences or Engineering, and will be able to demonstrate computational research in a suitable field or show strong usage of computational tools.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement next-generation computational algorithms for extreme event and load simulations using CFD, FE or other meshless numerical methods.
* Write high-quality, maintainable code and provide detailed documentation.
* Experience of CUDA or GPGPU methods.
* Utilize parallel computing methods such as OpenMP or MPI to accelerate novel algorithms.
* Collaborate with other members of the team to deliver high-quality software and tools.
* Work with clients to understand their requirements and provide technical support.
Requirements:
* A Master's or PhD-level qualification in Physical Sciences or Engineering.
* Experience in scientific computing, numerical analysis, and algorithm development.
* Proficient in programming languages such as Fortran/C++ and scripting in Python/MATLAB.
* Ability to work on scientific problems using computational tools.
* Experience of parallel computing methods such as CUDA/OpenMP/MPI.
* Experience in computational fluid dynamics, finite element analysis or meshless methods would be advantageous.
* Experience with both Linux and Windows operating systems
