Rate: Up to £750 per day via Umbrella company
My client is a leading Life Insurance company specialising in Protection and Employee Benefit products.
The business requires an experienced Propositions professional to join as an Interim Head of Propositions on an initial 6 month contract. You should have experience leading a team of 5+ and have strong knowledge of UK Protection and/or Employee Benefits products.
This is a business critical requirement at a time of major growth. There is genuine scope for a permanent role beyond the contract.
Start: ASAP - Ideally by mid-March if possible.
Duration: 6 months + potential extension or option for permanent role
Role Overview:
You will drive the strategic development and market approach for Individual Protection and Employee Benefits, optimise relationships with external partners, and ensure propositions are competitive and customer-centric. This role involves cross-functional collaboration, managing technical aspects of propositions, and representing the company in media and industry forums.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Proposition Development: Lead the development of customer-focused propositions, ensuring alignment with market trends and customer needs.
2. External Relationships: Oversee relationships with service providers, ensuring competitive service and pricing.
3. Benchmarking & Customer Outcomes: Regularly benchmark propositions against the market and customer feedback, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
4. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across Product, Distribution, Marketing, and more to optimise results and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
Essential Skills & Experience:
1. Proven leadership experience with 10+ years in propositions or product management.
2. Strong knowledge of the UK protection market.
3. Strong commercial acumen, with excellent communication and presentation skills.
4. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver high-quality results under pressure.
5. Expertise in problem-solving, data analysis, and converting insights into actionable strategies.
