Supported Housing Officer Bradford 35 hours per week Hours must be Flexible - Monday to Friday 9am to 6:30pm Salary £22,500K PA Temporary role with possibility of permanent Enhanced DBS MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB The post holder is responsible for providing a dual function of housing related support and intensive housing management to service users who are accommodated through the STOP Service. To take referrals from voluntary and statutory agencies including services within the prison and criminal justice system, housing and homelessness sector, health, social care and support sector. Conduct needs and risk assessments in order to assess each referral for suitability for the service and liaise with other services in relation to referral support needs and risks. To work collaboratively with other providers of housing and support to prevent ex-offenders and those at risk of re-offending from being homeless. Provide intensive support with a minimum of at least 2 face to face key working sessions per week, additional face to face and/or telephone support and multi agency support ,based on service users individual support needs and risks. To assist STOP service users to access the support and services that will assist in raising their quality of life, provide stability, explore options to pursue personal goals, aspirations and make choices. To work with a service user led approach to Support Planning, Risk Assessment and Risk Management in order to deliver support around housing and tenancy ready, health, economic wellbeing, criminal and civil justice, education and training, service user involvement, community interaction, social enjoyment and positive relationships. To provide and promote practical help and support to service users in order to assist in the development of their life skills and enable them to secure and maintain independent accommodation i.e. become tenancy ready, secure tenants with landlords in line with the housing first model and/or look at alternative move-on accommodation routes. To provide transitional support to establish service users in their new tenancy before referring to our floating support team or others operating in the district. In accordance with Policies and Procedures, to ensure the efficient day-to-day running of all its services in order to promote and encourage good practice. To promote the service through inter-agency liaison, local and regional forums and through developing Joint working protocols for effective support delivery. To promote inclusion, and opportunities for service user involvement, consultation and feedback on STOP service delivery and provisions. To provide street outreach and drop in sessions at events (and at other housing providers/organisations as appropriate) in order to make contact with those who are homeless or living in other temporary accommodation and may benefit from STOP services. To work flexibly and cover holidays and sickness. Covering for colleagues sometimes at short notice. To work flexible hours in order to meet the needs of the Service Users, this could include early morning / late night working. To work flexibly across all services as and when required.
