As a Network Engineer, you will contribute to this by working collaboratively in the project team, designing, configuring, and delivering medium to large network solutions to enable services for our customer that meet the project timelines. We are looking for a Network Engineer to work on delivery opportunities taking place within the secure Defence and National Security sector. Your role will involve providing understanding the project technical requirements, documenting detailed network design and configuration details, hands on implementation/configuration work, supporting the test phases, troubleshooting technical issues, supporting live implementations, and ensuring a successful handover to service for all changes. Your experience: •Good knowledge (2-3yrs) of networking layer2 and layer3, IP protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP and of IPSEC tunnels and able to troubleshoot them, and of Datacentre LAN topologies and solutions. •Experienced in producing low level designs including network diagrams and configuration build documentation. •Required to have a core focus and experience of Juniper based solutions, appetite to adopt other vendor platforms both hardware and software (Cisco, Gigamon, Firepower, etc). •Experience of firewall configuration, policy definition and fault finding. •Some experience of IDS/IPS/packet inspection devices, technologies and solutions. •Knowledge and experience of physical and virtual network devices and appliances. •Juniper JNCIA, or Cisco CCNA or equivalent experience. •Excellent communications skills with multiple stakeholders, able to take ownership and responsibility and make quick decisions.
