Salary: Up to £58,000 per annum
Hours: 38.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only

We are recruiting an Assistant Headteacher to join our team at Hillingdon Manor School in Uxbridge. As Assistant Headteacher, you will support the Headteacher in school management, delivering educational needs, maximizing pupil achievement, and supporting their development.
Job purpose
As Assistant Head Teacher for the Secondary School, you will be responsible for Progress & Outcomes for KS3, 4 & 5. You will oversee Examinations and Formal Accreditation areas, with direct line management responsibility for the Exams Officer.
You will work alongside two other Assistant Head Teachers and support the Deputy Head Teachers and Head Teacher to maintain high standards of Quality of Education, Behaviour, and Specialist Approaches.
This permanent role is suitable for a proactive individual with middle leadership experience. SEN experience is preferred, but we welcome candidates from other sectors interested in transferring their skills into the SEN Independent Sector. The successful candidate must understand and accept our Trauma Informed Approaches to Positive Behaviour Management, with in-depth training provided by Lead Clinicians.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) with NPQ accreditation or willingness to pursue an NPQ within 12 months
* Strong, adaptable communication skills
* Flexible working approaches
* Self-management skills to handle workload effectively
* Experience managing an education staff team
* Ability to meet deadlines consistently
* Relevant teaching qualification with proven experience as a middle leader or teacher with leadership responsibilities
* Knowledge of Autism, Specialist Curriculum, and SEND Code of Practice

Hillingdon Manor provides specialist education for 185 pupils aged 3.5 to 19 across two sites. Our Secondary School supports around 125 pupils, with smaller class sizes and tailored qualifications based on individual needs.
