Engineering Trainer - Fluid Power
We are looking for an Engineering Trainer (Fluid Power) to join our MTC Training based in Coventry.
This Apprentice Trainer role is required to manage and develop a comprehensive and innovative teaching and learning experience in a variety of practical and theoretical skills within the current apprenticeship trailblazer standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
Activities will include:
This role will require you to deliver high quality electrical bias training to satisfy Awarding Body requirements and Apprenticeship Standard Duties/KSBs. You will also, when required, support the delivery of topics which you have knowledge or experience in to support the smooth delivery of learning to people accessing MTC Training provision
1. Effective delivery of subjects which align with competencies of the individual with a bias towards Fluid Power (Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Electro-Pneumatic and Electro-Hydraulic) .
2. Support the delivery at level 2, 3 and HNC; paying due regard to developing independent learners, and enabling apprentice progression towards successful completion of both the level 3 apprenticeship & HNC programmes.
3. Management of all physical learning resources and teaching spaces required to ensure the training and assessment of learners is achieved within the guided learning hours.
You will also develop softer skills which are embedded within apprenticeships. This will require you to provide regular constructive feedback to learners and record the impact of their own learning on a regular basis.
Person Specification
We are looking for a candidate who has:
4. High level of engineering knowledge, preferably gained from several years of industrial experience.
5. Experience of best practise in the key competencies of the individual e.g Installing and Maintaining Fluid Power / Mechatronic Systems.
6. Evidence of knowledge in teaching methodologies
Essential:
7. Industry related qualifications such as L3 Apprenticeship, HNC, HND or Degree.
8. Functional Skills Level 2 / GCSE's in Maths and English grade C or above.
Desirable:
9. CAVA or equivalent assessor qualifications.
10. Recognised Training/Teaching Qualification.
11. Internal Quality Assurance qualifications.
