Entity: Gas & Low Carbon Energy Job Family Group: Engineering Group Job Description: You will join us in Ports, Transport and Installation where we are building a team to deliver our bold renewables targets. You will have the outstanding opportunity to be in from the beginning so you can use your experience to set things up right from the very beginning. You will own the engineering and execution scopes of the Offshore Substation Platforms (OSP) Jacket (JKT) Transport and Installation (T&I) for our development projects Mona and Morgan in the UK within our Ports and T&I team. You will be responsible to develop technical scopes following the guidelines, review and steer from the Senior and Lead Engineers, including design works, calculations, preparation of specifications, review of offers, review of external designs, etc. You shall be open to learn and be proactive to take ownership within the assigned scope of work and shall professionally grow to acquire the required capabilities to get more responsibilities. What you deliver: Be responsible for the safe and efficient technical execution of the JKT T&I works Ensure that the JKT T&I contractor technically drives the works as per the quality standards set up within the Projects Develop the T&I strategy and technical requirements for contracting the OSP T&I package Take on the technical leading role with the T&I Contractor tendering the works during the bid phase, the clarification and negotiation phase and thereafter the contract execution phase Work directly with the relevant work stream managers for our projects to review the setup for installation in conjunction with the programme, the consenting application and discharge and the HSE UK regulations Provide valuable input in the evaluation and costing of development and execution projects (CAPEX) and will take over the preparation of tender documents, as well as providing support in contract negotiations Review the user documentation, method statements and risk assessments Find opportunities and apply continuous improvement methodology throughout the project and implement findings from elsewhere in the portfolio Prepare cost-, time- and resource estimates to inform the project planning Identify innovative T&I solutions available in the market and assess the feasibility/implement ability for the project at hand What you will need: You will have an Engineering degree or equivalent experience, Chartered or Licensed Professional Engineer preferred. Experience is what matters. The successful candidate will have the following experience: Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Naval Architecture, Master Mariner, or related fields A confirmed 10 years track record in working with/in multi-functional teams in international projects and high confidence with effective partner management. A validated track record in working with/in multi-functional teams in international projects and high confidence with effective partner management. A good understanding and working knowledge of large-scale energy projects in the offshore energy sector, preferably in Offshore Wind Profound knowledge on JKT T&I, installation vessels and mission equipment You are very effective in multi-stakeholders relationship building, demonstrated by your effective presentation, communication and negotiation skills, persuasiveness, assertiveness and teamwork demeanor. Your ability and willingness to travel are crucial requirements for being a member of the team that operates across different locations, including London (office based 3 days a week minimum) Strong in negotiating installation contracts You will work with: Collaborate with the T&I Work Package Manager (WPM) for Mona and Morgan projects and Deputy T&I WPM Support the T&I WPM in the technical management of the JKT T&I scope Actively integrate a multi-discipline team in a multi-culture and multi-company environment (Joint Venture) You will coordinate with other specialists of other packages and areas to ensure the most efficient design and management of the interfaces Interface closely with the EPC work packages and eventually with the Port development work package, including defining the T&I Contractor requirements, planning and mapping the load out sequence, the transfers of custody between the different parties involved, etc. Why Join our team?
