A Snapshot of Your Day
From supplier liaison for routine deliveries to specialized low volume transactions, warehousing and logistical complexities, challenging distribution routes and requirements through to internal and external customer management. Few days are identical in our supply chain environment where teams work closely to deliver to the exacting demands of our truly global customer base. You will complete the ‘Procurement and supply chain practitioner’ level 4 apprenticeship standard via Fareport.
* Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders in multiple functions and global locations of the Aero Gas Turbine (AGT) business in the delivery of material to global demand.
* Build your Continuous Improvement skills and confidence through Lean Six Sigma training and owning/implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
* Be an active member within the Entry Level Talent group (Apprentices/Interns/Graduates) and culture hub to grow experience across the entire enterprise and supply chain.
What You Bring
* On track to successfully complete A’ level (or equivalent) study this academic year - A minimum of 2 successful A’level passes are required.
* You will be required to have achieved a minimum of grade 5 in both mathematics and English at GCSE level to be eligible for consideration for this position.
* Are flexible, know how to connect with others and pride yourself on being positive.
* Enjoy jumping in and, with support from us, feel confident taking responsibility for live tasks and projects you’ve been assigned.
* Are comfortable with change and able to react to unexpected challenges with enthusiasm.
* Are an analytical and a critical thinker with a drive for problem solving to deliver customer satisfaction.
About the Team
You will join a professional global supply chain operation with accountability to deliver an extensive catalogue including unique and specialised parts. The function manages the total process from supplier selection and management, purchase operations, forecasting, warehousing and quality control through to shipping and customer delivery.
Our Gas Services division offers low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
