We have a busy clinical decisions area on the unit, where initial assessment of the child takes place. Ward 12 is the day case ward, it has 12 beds and a dedicated haematology area. We work within a friendly multi- disciplinary team from multiple specialities and disciplines such as surgery and medicine. The environment includes a play area, sensory/physiotherapy room and school room. We also have an adolescent lounge which was designed by local young people.
