We are currently recruiting for a Software Trainer on a permanent, hybrid working basis to join the team.
The dedicated and enthusiastic Software Trainer will be training specialized software products that we produce, which are used around the world by national security, law enforcement, military, and commercial organisations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging, effective training sessions to both new and existing customers, to ensure they are proficient in using our software applications. The Software Trainer will play a crucial role in facilitating smooth software adoption, enhancing user experience, and promoting best practices for maximizing software functionality.
When not training on-site, this role will be performed on a remote basis, with a requirement to visit Head Office’s in Cambridge UK as and when there is a business need to do so. Training will be conducted remotely for tutor-led online courses, and at offices, conference centres and customers facilities for classroom training and conferences. The face-to-face training is expected to be predominantly based in the UK and Europe, but could be worldwide as needs arise.
Position & Responsibilities
In performing this role your core duties and responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
* Developing and delivering software training programs for customers, both virtually and in-person
* Creating comprehensive training materials, including user manuals, guides, videos, and other supporting documentation
* Helping to manage and setup the training environments and conducting
training sessions on various software features, workflows, and best practices
* Providing hands-on support during training sessions and assisting trainees with navigating the software
* Evaluating training needs and customize programs to meet the specific requirements of different audiences
* Assessing and tracking learner progress, and providing feedback and additional coaching where necessary
* Updating training content regularly to align with software updates, new features, and evolving best practices
* Collaborating with product development and support teams to ensure accuracy and relevancy of training materials
* Assist in troubleshooting and resolving software-related questions during training sessions
* Becoming a subject matter expert in the use and application of the software suite; and maintaining knowledge of the latest trends and developments in software applications and training methodologies
* Collect and analyze feedback to improve training programs and enhance user experience.
* Create, run, and support training sessions at conferences and events, as well as at events & conference run by external organizations
* To be flexible and provide other functions as required by group as a whole
What we are looking for
* Proven experience as a software trainer, and/or, a strong existing knowledge of i2 software and how to apply it
* Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
* Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences
* Experience with e-learning platforms and creating digital training materials is a plus
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot software issues
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
* Experience working as an analyst in using i2 solutions (Preferred but not essential)
* Knowledge of intelligence workflows, tradecraft, and processes (Preferred but not essential)
