We are seeking an experienced and passionate Modern Foreign Languages Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Canvey Island. This full-time, permanent role offers an exciting opportunity to inspire students and help them develop their language skills, cultural awareness, and confidence in communication.
As an MFL Teacher, you will deliver engaging and interactive lessons in French, Spanish, or German, fostering a love for language learning and global perspectives. You will play a key role in preparing students for GCSE and A-Level examinations, ensuring they develop strong linguistic and comprehension skills.
This position is ideal for a qualified and experienced educator with a proven track record in Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) teaching.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging and structured MFL lessons in French, Spanish, or German, aligned with the national curriculum.
* Inspire students to develop listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in the target language.
* Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations, providing targeted support where needed.
* Implement creative and inclusive teaching strategies to engage learners of all abilities.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the MFL curriculum and promote cultural awareness.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and tailored learning strategies.
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages independent language learning.
* Uphold safeguarding policies and ensure the welfare of all students.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* A strong knowledge of the MFL curriculum, including GCSE and A-Level standards.
* Experience teaching French, Spanish, or German in a secondary school setting is essential.
* A passion for language learning, cultural exchange, and student engagement.
* Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
