We are recruiting for an Automotive Quality Inspector to join our prestigious automotive client based in Woking and would love to hear from you.
No formal qualifications are necessary; however, automotive or manufacturing experience would be a distinct advantage.
Responsibilities:
1. Performing in process checks relating to harnesses, grommets, wiring looms, pipe clearances, and critical torques.
2. Performing paint inspection on panels within the paint shop.
3. Performing inspection of reworked vehicles to ensure quality remains consistent.
4. Function checking finished vehicles to ensure all systems are functioning.
5. Signing off under body and water tests.
6. Dynamic Testing.
7. Presenting the results of these activities to the business units.
8. Inputting and maintaining data into the Maxim Audit system database.
9. Performing torque check on critical joints.
10. General BIW inspection.
Knowledge:
1. Significant level of expertise in an OEM or Tier One automotive environment.
2. Expertise of working to processes.
3. Strong working knowledge of Word and Excel.
4. Good understanding of Quality and Paint standards.
Personal Attributes:
1. Strong communication skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external customers at all levels.
2. Ability to work methodically and logically.
3. Ability to work well in a team or autonomously as required.
4. Be willing to work overtime.
Hours of work will be Monday to Friday: 05:30-13:45 and 15:00-23:15 on rotating shifts.
Pay rate: £14.69 per hour.
This role has the potential to gain a permanent contract with the client.
28 days holiday per year - accrued as worked.
PAYE employment with pension available after 12 weeks.
