The Corporate Support Officer will support the Corporate Governance Manager in upholding the highest standards of corporate governance within the Trust, and provide comprehensive administrative support to the Medical Director's team. The post-holder must be able to manage a large and varied workload requiring a range of skills. The incumbent will be expected to operate with autonomy and initiative, prioritising their own time to ensure that deadlines are met and desired outcomes are achieved.
The role requires adapting to a dynamic and demanding office environment while maintaining exceptional focus and attention to detail on specific tasks. Flexibility in working hours is expected, adhering to agreed service standards.
Main duties of the job
Corporate Governance
1. Ensure reports, supporting papers, minutes, and action logs are available as required using advanced keyboard skills in the compilation of these documents for each Committee.
2. Ensure that sound procedures are followed for the management and control of documentation across the Trust for reporting to Committees and onwards to the Board of Directors.
3. Review and reprioritise workload independently in line with unplanned changes and conflicting priorities.
4. Produce high-quality written material including minutes, presentations, and letters.
5. Assist with information returns to external organisations such as the external auditors.
Medical Director
1. Provide administrative support to the Medical Director's Team. This will require the use of initiative when communicating urgent messages and requests to appropriate staff, ensuring requirements are dealt with.
2. Maintain the work plan for the Medical Director's team and Divisional Medical Directors, ensuring updates and actions are supported and completed.
3. Assist with the updating of the Medical Director's page on the intranet, ensuring content and information is up to date and relevant through working with the team.
About us
The candidate will work alongside both the Corporate Governance and Medical Directors Teams and will also work closely with the Board of Directors, Council of Governors, and Executive Assistants.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Grade C Maths and English
* Willing to undertake further training relevant to the post
Experience
* Admin experience working at a senior level and working as part of a team.
* High level working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
* Experience within an NHS or public sector organisation.
* Experience with Senior Leaders and Clinicians.
