If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you with our expanding client About the role: The Land Manager's role is to assist the Land Director in identifying and securing new land opportunities that align with the company's objectives, regional land strategy and group acquisition guidelines in order to fulfill the region’s business plan and promote future growth. Responsibilities: Identifying and acquiring land within a designated geographical area for immediate, short-term, and medium-term needs by establishing relationships with agents, leveraging planning leads, utilising both formal and informal tender processes, and pursuing 'off-market' land opportunities. Foster and maintain relationships with key landowners, agents, and land promoters throughout the region to ensure the Regional Land team remains informed about current market opportunities and trends. Oversee the project management of Regional land supply requirements until legal completion, serving as a liaison between Group Land and various Group and Regional departments. Work closely with the Land Director to effectively manage, report on, and deliver all Regional responsibilities related to the land acquisition process in accordance with Group policies and procedures. Requirements: Relevant qualifications or significant experience in land acquisition, negotiation, procurement, and management. Comprehensive technical and legal knowledge coupled with strong financial and commercial awareness. A thorough understanding of the legal and planning frameworks related to land acquisition and development procurement. A comprehensive awareness of the codes of practice affecting land acquisition and planning matters, including key town planning legislation and policy, local and regional systems and frameworks, as well as legal models, structures, and mechanisms related to land purchase. Experience in co-ordinating applications that lead to planning consents, including the negotiation of Section 106 agreements, along with a solid understanding of affordable housing procedures. A good understanding of the technical issues related to the design and engineering of estate layouts.
