Role Summary
The Dimensional Variation Analysis Lead Engineer will be responsible for leading and conducting dimensional variation analysis to ensure the precision and quality of the products. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify, analyse, and mitigate dimensional variation issues throughout the product development and manufacturing processes.
Area of Responsibility
Lead and perform dimensional variation analysis using 3DCS (v8.0) tools.
Creation and maintenance of the tolerance analysis model using 3DCS to provide Gap and Rad, FMK, B-release drawing validation.
Good understanding and knowledge of build process for the complete vehicle (underbody BIW, hat & closures, final assembly interior and exterior trims)
Expert in reading of GD&T and 2D drawing and implement that information in DCS model.
Generation of study reports with recommendation for preferred location strategy, concept, process, fixture design etc.
Develop and implement strategies to control and reduce dimensional variation in products and processes.
Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to identify potential sources of variation and recommend corrective actions.
Create and maintain detailed documentation of analysis results, methodologies, and corrective actions.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
Conduct root cause analysis for dimensional variation issues and implement effective solutions...
