As a Library Senior Customer Services Assistant, every day is different. You’ll go from singing nursery rhymes with toddlers to supporting someone with an IT challenge, from creating staff timetables to running a class visit for a local school, and so much more!
This Senior Customer Services Assistant role is based at Leamington Library, where you will be responsible for supervising and supporting the Customer Services Assistants and Volunteers in delivering our services and ensuring a positive experience for customers of all ages.
Much of your time will be spent serving customers in the library, assisting with enquiries and the day to day running of the library, and taking a lead on resolving any challenging situations that may arise. You’ll need excellent communication and customer service skills, a good eye for detail and the ability to manage your time and balance multiple priorities. Strong IT skills are also a must, both for your own administration tasks and supporting others.
As well as promoting books and reading, you’ll be a key part of delivering our diverse and thriving events programme for all ages, needing the ability to promote and manage events with skill and enthusiasm.
Most importantly, you will be part of a friendly, experienced and passionate team, supported by your Team Manager, Area Librarian and other colleagues, working together to serve our community.
Working Pattern 21.5 hours Leamington/Lillington Library this role also includes Sunday working at Leamington on a rota basis
WEEK 1
1. Tuesday – Lillington 9:30am – 12:30pm
2. Wednesday – Leamington 9am-5pm
3. Thursday – Leamington 9am-1pm
4. Friday – Leamington 9:30am - 6pm
WEEK 2
1. Tuesday – Lillington 9:30am-12:30pm
2. Wednesday – Leamington 9am-6pm
3. Thursday – Leamington 9am – 1pm
4. Saturday – Leamington 9am-4:30pm
Working Pattern 18 hours Leamington Library this role also includes Sunday working at Leamington on a rota basis

1. Monday – 12pm-6pm
2. Tuesday – 9:30am – 5pm
3. Saturday – 9:30am – 4:30pm
