Visitor Services Manager
35 hours per week
Within the range £30,993 - £34,106 per annum
Yorkshire Wildlife Trust is one of the UK’s fastest growing nature conservation organisations and seeks to appoint a Visitor
Services Manager at Spurn Nature Discovery Centre.
A unique opportunity to lead a customer focused and commercially astute team at one of Yorkshire’s most iconic and wild places,
Spurn National Nature Reserve.
In this varied and hands on role, you will further establish Spurn Nature Discovery Centre as an exemplar visitor destination and
ensure all visitor services operate in a cost effective and sustainable way including catering, retail, guided tours and
experiences. By demonstrating excellent standards of customer care, you will manage and motivate a team of staff to continually
offer enhanced visitor experiences. This in turn will improve working efficiencies, increase sales and generate greater support
for Yorkshire Wildlife Trust.
You will have previously gained operational management experience working in a retail, hospitality or visitor-focused environment
with experience of managing and developing a staff team. Motivated by delivering excellent customer service and creating robust
policies and procedures to ensure smooth day-today operations, you will provide a clear direction to manage, develop and motivate
your team. Such skills will lead on the operational and visitor service best practice for wider Visitor Services Team.
