An excellent opportunity has arisen for a good communicator with administration skills to join the Hepatology and Alcohol Liaison Nurse service in Withybush General Hospital. The vacancy is for a part-time Secretary supporting the nurse team for 15 hours a week.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for providing a full range of comprehensive, confidential and efficient clerical, administrative and secretarial support to the Hepatology Service and Alcohol Care Nurse.
The post holder will be responsible for maintaining records both manually and on a computerized system and demonstrate the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information i.e. clinical letters, investigations and results.
The post holder will work independently and will be responsible for providing a range of practical administrative and secretarial duties. They will handle highly confidential and sensitive information and develop an understanding of confidentiality of the highly sensitive issues relating to the patients seen by the Hepatology Clinical Nurse Specialist and Alcohol Care Nurse Specialist.
They will act as a first point of contact, central information resource, coordinator and communicator within the team, dealing with service users from across all levels of the organization.
The role may involve travelling to and working across other hospital sites in support of service delivery.
