IBA Investment and MI Analyst Job Purpose: The purpose of this role is to monitor and facilitate the Groups investment of IBA related balances in money market funds, maximising returns by expanding current investment levels and assisting with additional investments where appropriate. The role will also incorporate other cover responsibilities associated with the provision of management information to internal and external stakeholders. This role is instrumental in protecting our clients’ money under the CASS 5 rules whilst providing an efficient and compliant service to our stakeholders and is within the Oversight and Controls team. Key Stakeholders: IBA Team members Business Colleagues including Account Executives & Handlers Management Accounts & Finance Business Partners Group Treasury Internal & External Auditors Clients Third parties including Insurers, Underwriters, Brokers, Finance Providers & Banking Partners Responsibilities: Management of own workload to achieve targets and quality standards as per agreed objectives. Monitor and facilitate money for existing investments ensuring the Group is operating within the Group policy. Working with senior management and our treasury to maximise returns by increasing the entities we are investing in and increasing the percentage invested. Modelling and forecasting predicted cash flows Supporting our lead IBA MI team with monthly and ad hoc requests Monitor quality standards within the team taking appropriate action to ensure expected standards are met Completion of RMARs to provide supporting documents for FCA returns Support the completion of process and procedure mapping and documentation Tracking and reconciling of third-party insurers Oversight and reconciliation of the claims bank reconciliation Providing support with audits requests Identify control weaknesses to improve business performance Proactively support continuous improvement opportunities Identify and escalate breaches of company policy & CASS rules Complete all mandatory training and development activities in required timeframe Comply with all Group and departmental policies & procedures Qualifications Essential GCSE Mathematics Grade 4 or above GCSE English Grade 4 or above (or equivalent) Experience Desirable Previous experience in finance administration or reconciliation Previous experience of working in a financial services environment Knowledge Desirable Knowledge of the insurance industry and insurer accounting is a plus Skills Essential Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Proficient in using MS Office including Excel & Word Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks Desirable Working knowledge of Power BI or similar visualisation software Use of Excel Macros or DAX Previous experience using MS Vision
