As a Bank Learning Support Assistant based at our school in Cardiff Bay, you will support the delivery of high-quality education both in and out of class, and both on and off-site. You will be part of a team that is instrumental in meeting and exceeding Estyn quality standards as well as our own school values. You will support pupils to access a rich and varied school curriculum, and to achieve and progress in their education.
Whilst your contract will be flexible, we will still offer first class training and benefits and the opportunity to progress.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will need to be enthusiastic and creative, positive and patient. An excellent communicator both verbally and in writing, both in and out of the classroom. You will be communicating with a range of people: your colleagues, your pupils, their parents and other professionals. A team player with a friendly personality. A commitment to high standards and school values. A commitment to the safety and wellbeing of our learners. Successful candidates will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS check before they start. It would also be great if you have:
Experience in supporting learners with behavioural, emotional and social needs, and an understanding of support models and strategies.
Youth Work or Teaching assistant/ teaching qualification or equivalent (or be willing to work towards one as condition of employment.
