Job summary
The Infectious diseases nursing team on ward 3 are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity to work as a Charge Nurse/ Ward Sister on a permanent basis.
This would be a great opportunity for an innovative, enthusiastic and committed registered nurse post qualification experience who would like to develop at Band 6 alongside the current senior nursing team.
This is a fantastic prospect for an experienced nurse who is dynamic, friendly and who strives to provide an excellent standard of care.
Main duties of the job
You will need passion and drive to lead a team of nurses who provide the highest quality care to their patients. Working clinically alongside your staff on the ward you will provide clear senior presence and visibility on the ward throughout the week and weekends. You will need to be organised and thorough with excellent time management skills to care for patients with medical conditions and infectious diseases.
You will work closely alongside the Ward Manager and will be expected as to both manage the ward effectively and provide clinical leadership to the nursing staff employed; by being a positive role model you will ensure that an efficient nursing service and an excellent standard of patient care is given to all patients on the ward.

1. Current NMC Registration
2. Degree or Diploma in Nursing plus specialist experience/training
3. Evidence of personal and professional development
4. Up to date ILS and mandatory training
