About The Role
As a Press Assistant for WNU, you will provide essential support to the Brand/PR team in their day-to-day operations, assisting with media outreach, sample coordination, events, digital initiatives, and representing the brand. Reporting to the Senior Brand Manager, the role is focused on helping to raise WNU’s brand profile while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced, growing fashion company.
* Manage sample cupboard, ensure it is organised, all new samples are checked in, and consumables are well stocked (e.g., bags, labels, stickers).
* Overseeing all press send outs and sample management.
* Respond to image requests and act as a key point of contact for press requests.
* Responsible for emailing press day invites and managing RSVPs.
* Emailing monthly press release distributions, generating ideas for pitches.
* Maintenance of the press list, ensuring it is constantly up to date, birthdays are noted, etc.
* Monitor press coverage, collating all digital, print, and social press coverage.
* Own gifting activations for press with approval from Senior Brand Manager, liaising with the intern and warehouse to ensure the smooth running of the gifting process.
* Support on affiliates, ensuring assets are up to date for press.
Essential Skills and Requirements
To be considered for the role of Press Assistant, the successful candidate must:
* Have 1-2 years relevant experience in an agency or in-house PR team.
* Have a good understanding of Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and the Adobe Suite.
* Capable of multitasking, handling a broad range of responsibilities, and working to tight deadlines.
* High attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills; interpersonal and written. Ability to copywrite for press pitching.
* Team player who is able to work towards a shared goal.
* Have a positive, can-do attitude, with great interpersonal skills, prepared for front-facing responsibilities. Passionate about brand and storytelling.
