An ambitious and sector leading business services organisation based near Stoke-on-Trent. They are now recruiting for an Indirect Category Manager / Senior Buyer to join the team. The company offers flexibility to work from home two days per week.
Your new role:
Reporting to the Senior Procurement Manager, the Category Manager / Senior Buyer will partner with the business to manage all procurement related activities and will manage a number of indirect categories. The role will support the development and implementation of key category strategies, review contracts, lead tender processes, and monitor and manage supplier performance. The Category Manager / Senior Buyer will also be responsible for processing all related procurement processes including creating suppliers, cataloguing, and resolving supplier issues. Additionally, the post holder will support the Senior Procurement Manager in the development and implementation of new procurement processes and initiatives.
What you'll need to succeed:
To be successful, you will be a Buyer, Senior Buyer, or Category Manager with experience managing end-to-end procurement processes. You will have previous indirect procurement and contract management experience. You will have great communication skills, be well-organised, and have a collaborative approach. Holding/studying for a CIPS qualification is preferred. The organisation will support CIPS studies.
What you'll get in return:
You will receive a salary of £35,000 to £45,000 (DOE) plus great benefits. The role will work on a hybrid basis.
