Residential Support Worker Opportunity - Lowestoft, Suffolk
We are a specialist SEN recruitment agency based in Suffolk, working with a variety of SEN settings across East Anglia.
We are currently partnering with a Residential Special School in Lowestoft, Suffolk, to recruit a committed and passionate Residential Support Worker.
This is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced Residential Support Worker or someone looking to begin their career in SEND, supporting young people with Moderate and Complex Needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide care and support to pupils and families, fostering their development, progress, achievement, and well-being.
- Contribute to creating a positive, nurturing, and safe environment where children can receive the support and guidance they need.
- Participate in the assessment of individual needs, helping to develop and review plans to meet these needs.
- Work with young people on personal issues, group work, educational attendance, health, and family matters.
- Support pupil-centred planning and transitions.
- Must be able to commute to Lowestoft, Suffolk.
Requirements:
- Experience in residential childcare with children who have educational, emotional, and behavioural needs.
- Experience working with individuals with Moderate and Complex Difficulties.
- Availability to commit to two sleep-ins per week.
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or a willingness to work towards it.
- Commutable distance to Lowestoft, Suffolk.
