Warehouse Operative - Stock Controller
Stead House Distribution Centre
Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 6am - 2pm.
Total Hours Per Week: 40
Introduction
An exciting opportunity to be part of our successful Superdrug Supply Chain; working within one of our busy Distribution centres as a Warehouse Operative. This vacancy is for the Savers DC known as Stead House Distribution Centre; based in Darlington. The hours will be predominantly as stated above but flexibility will be required across all other shift patterns.

Role Purpose:
The Stock Control Warehouse Operative is critical in maintaining inventory management by means of checking, counting and investigating. Moving stock between warehouses and outside suppliers. This role will report to the Operations Team Leader for Stead House Distribution Centre.
A typical day in this role includes:
1. Counting stock
2. Slot maintenance
3. Producing reports using Excel
4. Working closely within internal and external departments
5. Stock control functions
6. Picking and working pallets of stock for UAE
7. Investigating issues and communicating this back to other company departments

What you’ll need:
1. PC literate
2. Flexible approach to performing other duties within the warehouse as requested by your Line Manager
3. High level of numeracy
4. Excellent time and attendance record
5. Good teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work on your own
6. Always demonstrate and maintain a high level of health and safety awareness around the warehouse, ensuring own safety and the safety of others. Adopting the ASW, H&S Values: Always Safe at work; think smart, think safe
