If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our secondary school as a Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant in our secondary school, you will support students with a variety of special educational needs. Your role will involve assisting teachers in delivering inclusive lessons, providing one-to-one and small group support, and ensuring that all students have the opportunity to reach their full potential in a safe and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities:
* Support secondary school students with various special educational needs in both one-to-one and small group settings
* Assist teachers with the planning, preparation, and delivery of lessons
* Provide academic support to help students meet their individual learning goals
* Promote an inclusive and positive learning environment for all students
* Help students with personal care and mobility where necessary
* Collaborate closely with teachers, SENCO, and other staff members
* Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to the class teacher
* Support students' emotional and behavioural needs in a constructive and positive manner
We are looking for candidates who:
* Have a positive, enthusiastic attitude toward supporting secondary school students with SEN
* Are eager to develop new skills and gain experience working in an educational setting
* Have a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
* Are patient, empathetic, and proactive in supporting student development
* Have excellent communication skills, both with students and staff
* Are flexible, adaptable, and able to work well as part of a team
* A qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (Level 2 or 3) is beneficial but not essential
