As we expand our operations, we are looking for a skilled and passionate Mobile Electric Vehicle Technician to join our team, serving the Edinburgh area and surrounding regions.
Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced technician to service, maintain, and repair electric vehicles. As a Mobile EV Technician, you will play a key role in delivering an outstanding customer experience by providing convenient, on-site solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct routine servicing and maintenance of electric vehicles.
2. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
3. Perform battery health checks and other EV-specific diagnostics.
4. Provide exceptional customer service, explaining services performed and answering any queries.
5. Manage and maintain tools, equipment, and stock levels in your mobile workshop van.
6. Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring the safety of customers and yourself.
7. Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used.
About You
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as an automotive technician.
2. Full UK driving licence.
3. Excellent customer service and communication skills.
4. Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.
5. Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions, with work performed only in suitable off-street locations (no roadside work).
6. Offstreet parking at home with the ability to install an EV charger (paid for by Cleevely Mobile).
Desirable Skills:
1. IMI Level 2 or 3 in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
2. Previous experience in a mobile technician role.
3. Strong IT literacy for using diagnostic tools and record-keeping.
