Head of Supply Chain and Inbound Logistics (H/F) (M/F)
The Head of Supply Chain and Inbound Logistics is a senior position, reporting to the VP of Production, responsible for managing and overseeing the Procurement, External Industrialisation, Supplier Flow Quality, Goods Receiving Inspection, Inbound Logistics, Spares Logistics, and Offload teams along with their relevant processes and day-to-day activities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage the Procurement, External Industrialisation, Supplier Flow Quality, Inbound Logistics, Spares Inspection & Logistics, and Offload functions to ensure cost-effective procurement of all incoming goods and services at suitable quality and agreed price.
2. Ensure inbound product and supplier quality is maintained throughout the procurement process for External Industrialisations, Supplier Flow Quality, and operational offload operations.
3. Develop enhanced procurement and supplier quality management systems and controls to ensure quality, cost, and delivery targets are achieved and maintained, and drive any required changes.
4. Provide leadership, motivation, and direction to staff while managing the implementation of the Supply Chain harmonised processes on the site to achieve expected results.
5. Develop relationships with Suppliers/Partners, negotiate agreements, and implement improvement initiatives for these suppliers including risk assessments/mitigation and escalation activities.
6. Ensure and coordinate cross-site and cross-functional activities and communicate with SPM teams, Purchasing, Planning, PPM, CS, and Engineering.
7. Manage external industrialisation concerning quality, cost, and delay objectives.
8. Based on project risk analysis, drive the progress of the industrialisation project with the supplier and identify & manage project risks.
9. Manage the action plan according to SAFRAN requirements, including overstock management to protect production, DVI approval, and concurrent engineering.
10. Ensure the supplier has the organisation and management to implement all industrial means and their approval.
11. Ensure performance of the quality side of the production flow in close collaboration with the procurement team and production teams.
12. Ensure the quality and conformity of the products supplied.
13. Support the availability of parts on time.
14. Process and eradicate supplier concessions and manage pre-releases.
15. Guarantee compliance with the reference system associated with the DVI process for minor design changes, supplier industrial changes, and interruptions of more than 24 months.
16. Define incoming inspection policies in consultation with the quality teams.
17. Work closely with teams in charge of panel and supplier performance, and industrialisation teams.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of a degree level in a relevant discipline and/or CIPS qualified, or equivalent training and experience.
2. Excellent commercial acumen coupled with a broad understanding of business.
3. International contract awareness and Supplier relationship building experience.
4. In-depth knowledge of total quality management and lean production techniques.
5. Hands-on management style with a proven ability to act as a team player and leader.
6. Strong analytical, organisational, planning, and communication skills.
7. Experience in development and administration of departmental budgets.
8. Demonstrated ability to effectively lead, manage, and motivate others to make changes within a manufacturing environment.
9. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
