This role will cover all plants in Suffolk with regular time spent at their dedicated laboratory located at Fornham Park, Bury St Edmunds .
We are looking for a motivated ConcreteTechnician to support daily operations through accurate testing and quality control processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Main Duties and Responsibilities of the ConcreteTechnician:
Perform daily testing of concrete samples to meet relevant BSI StandardsAccurately record and maintain logs of all tests performedClean, maintain, calibrate, and operate testing equipmentConduct raw material sampling and process test samples through the laboratoryEnsure all samples are properly marked and storedMaintain laboratory cleanliness and assist with general house-keepingAct as liaison between offices, plants, construction sites, and customersCollect and transport samples from client sites to the laboratory for testingComplete all required administration related to concrete testingAdhere to all Health and Safety proceduresConduct calibrations on volumetric vehiclesConcreteTechnician- Person Specification:
Strong planning, organisational, and time management skillsExcellent verbal and written communication abilitiesAbility to work independently and as part of a team under pressureAttention to detail and ability to self-manage workloadValid driving licence is essentialPrevious experience in the concrete industry is advantageousThis is a fantastic opportunity to work across various plants throughout Suffolk, with a core base at Bury St Edmunds.
