Consultant in Paediatric Emergency Medicine
Are you looking to work in a forward-thinking and evolving department? If so, an opportunity has arisen for a Consultant who specializes in Paediatric Emergency Medicine to work with a fantastic team at a Hospital situated in a resort town on England's North Sea coast.
Our client is looking to recruit a Consultant with a formal PEM qualification. They are supportive of candidates with the relevant qualifications from either Emergency Medicine or Paediatrics and will tailor the job plan to suit the preferences of the post holder.
There has been a large investment in our client's Emergency Medicine department! This is an excellent opportunity to join a committed, innovative team dedicated to providing high-quality care.
The Trust is in the process of designing a new build acute care unit which will provide 24/7 acute services. The successful candidate will be part of the team that helps design the facility and set it to work.
The Hospital has a very close working team who are friendly and helpful. It is based in a rural location that serves a large population over a wide geographical area. This means you get to see a full range of paediatric emergencies including trauma. The department sees over 60,000 patients per year, of which over 11,000 are paediatric urgent and emergency presentations.
This post is based in a location which is known for its beauty; it was recently voted as one of the best places to live in the UK. It is a lovely location to raise a family and has a plethora of excellent schools. It also has fantastic rail and road links with easy access to major cities.
The post holder must have the following:
1. License to practise with the General Medical Council (GMC)
2. FRCEM or MRCPCH
3. ALS and EPALS provider
4. Entry on GMC specialist register or within 6 months of CCT date or within 12 months of expected CESR approval
5. For candidates who reside abroad, you must have completed the necessary language test (IELTS / OET / NARIC) before applying. You must be able to satisfy the language test requirements of the UKVI remit.
