The key responsibilities of the role are to support the Head of Regulatory Reporting in the management of the regulatory reporting team, ensuring that accurate and timely prudential regulatory submissions for Capital and Liquidity are submitted to the Prudential Regulation Authority for the consolidated Group and the Bank, and subsequently reported internally to a range of stakeholders and governance committees.
The role will focus on the maintenance of a robust control environment for regulatory reporting, striving to deliver automation and optimisation. In addition, the role will own Pillar 3 disclosures and relevant regulatory disclosures in the group’s Financial Statements and other financial and regulatory reporting.
The job holder will work closely with the Regulatory Change & Control team and the Regulatory Policy team to ensure timely identification and implementation of regulatory policy and change, as well as the Capital Management team to ensure a cohesive link between regulatory reporting and capital management.
Duties and responsibilities:
1. Responsible for ensuring all prudential regulatory returns, including but not limited to COREP, liquidity, and BOE, are submitted accurately and on time.
2. Review and technically challenge the Regulatory Reporting team and ensure returns are submitted in line with relevant requirements and regulations.
3. Work with the Regulatory Change and Control team to consolidate, enhance, and automate existing regulatory reporting processes, including liaison with key stakeholders, in particular Finance, Risk, and Treasury to ensure appropriate reviews are undertaken and sufficient challenge has taken place.
4. Deliver compliant and accurate new regulatory returns and reports, ensuring appropriate involvement of relevant staff.
5. Maintenance of robust processes and controls across prudential regulatory returns that deliver on PRA requirements and expectations.
6. Keep up to date with prudential regulatory requirements and expectations applicable to the Group and Bank and ensure timely implementation of changes including updates to policies, procedures manual, and relevant returns.
7. Implement the standards and policies for regulatory reporting with the Regulatory Reporting team.
8. Coordination of responses to regulatory data requests.
