Graduate Landscape Architect

The Opportunity:
As a Graduate level Landscape Architect, you will work closely with our in-house senior team to deliver a wide range of landscape design and assessment projects across multiple sectors including residential and commercial, renewable energy, minerals and public realm, from Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA) and strategic masterplanning through to detailed design, implementation and management. You will be involved with our ecologists and soil scientists in designing restoration schemes and habitat creation projects and work in a thriving multidisciplinary environment to stretch and develop your skills.
Having recently merged with SLR Consulting, you will be joining Wardell Armstrong at an exciting time. We are currently coming together with approximately one hundred Landscape Architects from within SLRs multi-disciplinary, environmental and sustainability consultancy, which works on leading projects across the globe.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Leading concept proposals for small scale design projects with support through the project stages from the senior team
* Taking ownership of meeting deadlines and client expectations
* Supporting senior members of the team in delivering major prestigious projects
* Attending site visits and design team meetings with support
* Working with senior staff on the management of fees
* Work independently to deliver LVIAs in the field and reporting
A successful candidate will require:
* An appropriate degree related to Landscape Architecture
* An interest in landscape design projects at a range of scales
* An interest in landscape planning and LVIA for all types of development
* Excellent software ability
* A driving license for client visits and site work
* Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK as we are unable to provide visa sponsorship.
