We’re looking for enthusiastic students to support our Postgraduate Open Day on Saturday 28 June by welcoming visitors, sharing insights about postgraduate student life, and ensuring the day runs smoothly. This is a great opportunity to gain experience, develop communication skills, and represent UoN in a friendly and engaging way! Who can apply? Current postgraduate students Not already a Student Ambassador or Subject Ambassador Come and be a part of creating a fantastic first impression of UoN! Start Date: PG open day Saturday 28 June with virtual training to take place week commencing 2 June. End Date: Saturday 28 June Working Hours: Approximate hours 8.30am to 5.30pm maximum, 10am-2pm minimum. Exact shifts times to be confirmed once open day roles have been allocated. Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour plus holiday pay (NLW) Location: University Park Campus Dress Code: Student helper blue t-shirts will be supplied The duties will include: Welcome and assist visitors on arrival at campus Showcasing excellent subject knowledge via a number of different methods (stall / lecture / Q&A etc) Staff welcome points at key locations Provide information on courses and student life Advise visitors on open day activities Represent the university positively Be punctual, reliable, and maintain communication with the student recruitment events team Skills and experience required for the role: Must be a current niversity of Nottingham postgraduate student Must have a thorough understanding of your subject Strong knowledge of the university, campuses, and courses Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work well in a team Familiarity with University Park campus for directing visitors Enthusiastic, helpful, and approachable attitude Previous experience in recruitment events is desirable but not essential What you can expect to gain during this role: Communication skills Customer service Events experience Problem solving Teamwork Application Instructions: Application Closing Date : Monday 12 May The Careers and Employability Service supports student and alumni to make choices about their future after their studies.
