Forest School Learning Mentor

Salary: £25,000 per annum
We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Forest School Learning Mentor to inspire and engage children through outdoor learning. The successful candidate will have a passion for the natural world and fostering a connection with nature. Your primary role will be running forest school sessions and delivering outdoor and adventurous learning experiences through play and exploration.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and lead engaging outdoor education sessions.
2. Deliver a variety of outdoor and adventurous learning activities.
3. Extend extra-curricular outdoor opportunities with unique skills and interests.
4. Assist in environmental projects and conservation initiatives.
5. Collaborate positively with colleagues to enhance outdoor learning.
Essential Requirements:
1. Passion for outdoor learning and working with children.
2. Experience leading outdoor education sessions for ages 5-18.
3. Knowledge of current wildlife and conservation issues.
4. Level 3 Forest School Leader qualification preferred (or willingness to train).
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Car driver essential due to rural location.
