Head of Land Strategy - SPR
Salary: from £68,800 per annum, 30% bonus, Car Allowance & Family Health Cover

Responsibilities
* Lead a team of experts to define and implement a successful landowner & stakeholder engagement strategy.
* Work closely with relevant Business Directors to understand short-, medium-, and long-term Business strategy.
* Develop Land delivery strategy in collaboration with the Head of Land Delivery and Head of Estate Management.
* Ensure understanding and benchmarking of relevant land/property markets.
* Negotiate and advise on critical, multi-million-pound contracts.
What you’ll be doing
* Lead a team responsible for ensuring robust stakeholder engagement with Government agencies and land owners.
* Ensure Business awareness of current market financial positions and trends.
* Support financial modelling for projects with the Investment Office Director.
* Negotiate and manage Business rates obligations.
* Conduct thorough due diligence on acquisition opportunities.
* Identify marketed and off-market opportunities for acquisition.
* Develop and own the land strategy for land rights delivery and protection.
* Mitigate financial and operational risk ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
* Deliver land strategies that align with Business objectives.
* Collaborate across the SPR Management team for contracting and tendering.
* Engage with Scottish Power stakeholders to add value to land management.
* Benchmark Business Real Estate delivery.
* Represent L&E at SPRIC and influence decisions.

* Ability to mentor and develop a team of Chartered Surveyors.
* Ensure compliance with regulations and standards in the built environment.
