What You'll Do Technology Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive workplace technology strategy aligned with business objectives. Define a forward-looking technology roadmap, evaluate emerging trends, and identify opportunities to enhance infrastructure and services. Collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders to ensure technology initiatives support business needs. Team Leadership & Management: Lead and inspire a team of Workplace Technology Engineers, providing mentorship and fostering growth. Set clear goals, conduct performance evaluations, and cultivate a high-performing, collaborative team culture. Allocate resources effectively to deliver outstanding results. Solution Implementation & Management: Oversee the planning, deployment, and management of workplace technology solutions. Partner with cross-functional teams, vendors, and service providers to ensure successful implementation and integration. Manage the lifecycle of solutions, including updates, patches, and system enhancements. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business units, senior management, and IT teams to understand technology requirements. Build strong relationships and act as a trusted advisor, delivering insights and tailored recommendations. Budgeting & Resource Allocation: Develop and manage the workplace technology budget, ensuring effective use of resources. Negotiate contracts and licenses with vendors, monitor costs, and make strategic investments in technology. Risk Management & Security: Implement robust security measures to protect systems and data. Stay updated on compliance regulations, industry standards, and data privacy requirements. Conduct risk assessments and maintain incident response plans to ensure system integrity. Vendor Management: Build and manage strong vendor relationships, negotiating contracts and monitoring service levels. Stay informed about product roadmaps, emerging technologies, and opportunities to leverage new solutions. Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Drive process improvements, automation, and innovation within workplace technology. Encourage continuous learning and professional development within the team. Stay ahead of industry trends to optimise technology capabilities. Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry standards. Develop and enforce governance frameworks to maintain operational excellence. Communication & Change Management: Clearly communicate technology changes and initiatives to stakeholders. Develop strategies to ensure user adoption and smooth transitions during tech updates. Provide training and support to enhance user proficiency and satisfaction. IT Benelux Integration: Collaborate with the IT Benelux Manager to improve systems and integrate enhancements into the overall technology roadmap. Location & Travel: Based remotely or at our Nuneaton Store Support Hub, this role may require occasional travel to our retail stores, London Hub, or Amsterdam office. Bachelor's degree in IT, Cyber Security or a related field (or equivalent experience). Proven experience in project coordination, preferably in the retail industry or related field. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors Proven experience in vendor management Attention to detail with an emphasis on both accuracy and quality Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly to evolving circumstances. Proficiency in project management tools and software. (Jira/Confluence) Ability to work proactively and independently to take ownership of tasks, while also being a collaborative team player. Flexibility to travel and work extended hours where necessary during critical phases of projects.
