We have an excellent opportunity for an IT Business Analyst in our Regulatory Reporting team in Northern Ireland. This person is responsible for bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technology teams within the capital markets domain. This role involves gathering and analyzing business requirements, designing solutions, and ensuring that IT systems align with the operational and strategic needs of trading, investment, and financial operations. The role requires a strong understanding of capital markets, trading platforms, and associated regulatory environments to support the delivery of high-quality technology solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with business stakeholders (e.g., traders, portfolio managers, compliance officers) to understand business needs and objectives in areas such as trading, risk management, and settlements. - Elicit, document, and analyze detailed business and functional requirements for capital markets systems, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulations. - Work closely with IT teams (developers, architects, testers) to design and deliver technology solutions that meet business needs, ensuring that solutions are scalable, maintainable, and performant. - Develop business and technical specifications, use cases, and process flow diagrams to support development and implementation efforts. - Serve as a liaison between business teams, IT teams, and third-party vendors to ensure effective communication, project alignment, and timely issue resolution. - Create and deliver clear and concise project status updates, requirements documentation, and user training materials to various stakeholders. - Perform data analysis to support business decision-making, utilizing data sources from trading platforms, risk systems, and market data providers. - Develop and maintain customized reports and dashboards that support critical business processes within the capital markets function. - Stay current with regulatory requirements (e.g., MiFID II, Dodd-Frank, Basel III) that impact capital markets and ensure systems meet compliance standards. - Work with compliance and risk management teams to integrate necessary controls, reporting, and data privacy features into IT solutions.
