At Teaching Personnel we are looking for a full time Class Teacher who enjoys teaching pupils with profound and multiple learning disabilities and a range of other special education needs in South of Bath.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Develop and implement personalized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs, abilities, and learning goals.
Assess students' progress regularly, identifying their strengths and areas for improvement, and adjusting teaching strategies accordingly.
Adapt teaching methods and resources to cater to different learning styles, abilities, and disabilities, ensuring all students can access the curriculum.
Work closely with teaching assistants, parents, therapists, and external professionals to create a supportive learning environment.
Create a safe, inclusive, and structured classroom environment that supports positive behavior and emotional well-being.
Provide pastoral care and help students develop social, emotional, and communication skills.
Stay updated with the latest SEN practices, attend professional development sessions, and implement new strategies for improved teaching outcomes.
Advocate for students’ needs within the school system, ensuring they have access to the necessary resources and support.
Maintain clear communication with parents or caregivers, updating them on student progress and involving them in the education process.
Ensure adherence to legal and educational guidelines regarding SEN provisions, including safeguarding and equal opportunities policies.
The successful educator will have:
Proven track record of very strong teaching
Understanding of the needs of pupils with a range of SEND
Highly skilled at differentiating teaching for learners with a range of needs
Experience of a variety of assessment to inform pupil progress
A team player with a collaborative ethos
Experience of working with children of different ages and learning needs
Has the skills and attributes of nurturing, tolerance, acceptance, creativity, adaptability and integrity
Experience of working with a range of class support staff
