We have a great opportunity available to join Novus, our prison education provider at HMP Lindholme, working as a Construction Health and Safety Teacher. This position is offered on a permanent, full-time basis, working 37 hrs per week.

HMP Lindholme, located near Hatfield Woodhouse in South Yorkshire, operates as a Category C men's prison with a capacity to accommodate 1,010 inmates.
What the role entails
As a Construction Health and Safety Teacher, you will develop and deliver high quality, learner-focused education to meet contractual requirements and standards, in line with Novus policies and procedures; supporting learners and colleagues alike to ensure the best outcome for all who work within our sector. What we need from you
To be successful in the role of Construction Health and Safety Teacher, you will need to:
* Have a background in Construction and awareness of Health and Safety best practices within the Construction sector (2-5 years+ experience is desirable, but not essential, depending on qualifications and nature of the experience).
* Hold an IOSH or NEBOSH Certificate.
* Commit to gain a PTLLS accreditation within 6 months.
* Commit to gain a subject-specific qualification to allow you to train to Level 3, within 2 years (if applicable).
* Commit to gain an assessor award required by relevant Awarding Bodies, within one year (if applicable).
* Hold at least a Level 1 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy (GCSE) or be willing to commit to gaining the qualification(s) within 1 year.
Remuneration and Colleague Benefits
Successful candidates will be offered a salary of between £29,047 - £38,124 per annum, dependent on qualifications and/or level of experience.
